Hello, I am Pauline Di Silvestro.
I am a freelance photographer from Brussels, based in East London. I have a Bachelor in Communication & Marketing (2010) and worked throughout my studies as an intern at the local newspaper, where I was taught the basics of photojournalism. In 2012, I bought my own DSLR to shoot music photography. I like challenges, and learning how to use a camera in dark, sweaty and busy concert venues was just what I needed.
In June 2016, I made the decision to become a full-time photographer, set up a studio in my basement and started doing product & lifestyle photography for online businesses, as well as event photography, and portraits. I moved to London in October 2017 to follow my ambitions and work as a freelance photographer in this vibrant city. Since then, I have been working with diverse music magazines and festivals around the UK and the EU.
In January 2020, I was invited to the British Photography Awards ceremony, as a finalist in the Event category and came Runner Up with my photo of The Schizophonics at Sjock Festival in July 2019.
